Built by Damen Shipyards in 2015, SeaZip 4 is a Fast Crew Supplier 2610 with capacity for 24 passengers. Her capacity was increased from 12 passengers during the winter break of 2022.
SeaZip 4 is a Dutch flagged Twin Axe catamaran operating under Bureau Veritas class. Her two symmetrical hulls use the Sea Axe hull form, with seakeeping and passenger comfort forming part of the vessel’s design.
The vessel is 26.30 metres long and has a listed service speed of 25 knots. Two Caterpillar C32 engines, each rated at 895 kW, drive the propellers.
Offshore applications include transporting industrial personnel and light cargo. Other possible applications include hydrographic survey and diving support. The suitability of a particular assignment depends on its operating and equipment requirements. JR Shipping can provide technical information for SeaZip 4 and direct enquiries about project availability.
SeaZip Offshore Service’s management system is certified to ISO 9001:2015. JR Shipping lists ISM and MLC2006 certification for the vessel. The technical team can supply the relevant documentation for the assignment.
SeaZip 4 has remained in service following the conversion that doubled her passenger capacity in 2022. Her profile brings together that change, the Twin Axe design and the vessel’s offshore applications. Within this fleet, JR Shipping treats sustainability as an ongoing operational responsibility and continues to examine ways of lowering its environmental footprint.
