This week, the technical team of Value Maritime has been busy in Spain installing an advanced filter, Filtree, and carbon capture system onboard of our container feeder vessel MV Endeavor. It’s a pretty straightforward plug-and-play installation process that is taking place during a routine docking of the vessel. In a matter of days, this vessel will be back in the water and sailing with considerably less emissions.
The system, suitable for both existing and newbuild vessels, is based on unique, award-winning technology that filters sulphur and ultra-fine particles from the exhaust gas and purifies wash water. In addition, our patented CO2 capture and storage module is integrated into the system. The CO2 is stored in battery containers for reuse in other industries, with the carbon even being re-used to facilitate the growth of flowers and other crops – resulting in a 100% circular solution.
