JR Shipping Group publishes integrated Annual Report and Sustainability Report, strengthening its journey towards a future-ready short sea shipping industry
JR Shipping Group is proud to present its Integrated Annual Report & Sustainability Report 2026. More than a reflection on our financial, operational and sustainability performance, this publication demonstrates how we are preparing our organisation, our people and our operations for the future of shipping.
The maritime industry is evolving rapidly. Decarbonisation, digitalisation, changing regulations and increasing stakeholder expectations require a future-ready approach. JR Shipping Group therefore views sustainability not simply as a compliance obligation, but as an integral part of its business strategy and a key driver of innovation, continuous improvement and long-term resilience.
This publication also marks an important milestone. For the first time, the Sustainability Report has been fully integrated into the Group’s Annual Report. This combined publication provides stakeholders with a transparent and coherent overview of both JR Shipping Group’s financial performance and its sustainability ambitions and achievements, demonstrating that ESG has become an integral part of the company’s strategy and day-to-day business operations.
The first Sustainability Report (2022/2023) focused on exploring ESG themes and defining the company’s initial ambitions. In the second report (2023/2024), these ambitions were translated into measurable targets and supported by a Double Materiality Assessment (DMA), enabling the organisation to establish clear priorities.
Building on this solid foundation, this year’s Sustainability Report has evolved into a more data-driven publication. The Environmental, Social and Governance data collected represents the company’s first comprehensive ESG baseline, providing a robust foundation for measuring progress, driving continuous improvement and taking the next step towards full VSME compliance.
JR Shipping Group believes that building a future-ready maritime industry can only be achieved through collaboration. Through this report, the company aims not only to provide transparency, but also to encourage meaningful dialogue with customers, suppliers, financiers, employees and other stakeholders.
